About Bridge Court Bungalow
Bridge Court Bungalow is a small residential care home near Middlesbrough, in Redcar and Cleveland, supporting adults with a learning disability or autism. We work mainly with younger adults, and we also offer respite stays for people who need support for a shorter period or whose usual carer needs a break. Being small is the point rather than a limitation. People here know each other and know the staff well, and daily life feels like a household rather than a service being delivered. Residents have their own rooms and a genuine say in how their days go, what they eat and how they spend their time. Our job is to support people to be as independent as they want to be. For some that means building skills around cooking, money, travel or work. For others it means steady, familiar support so that life stays comfortable and they can carry on doing what they enjoy. Support plans are written with each person, using whatever way of communicating suits them best, and we pay close attention to what helps someone feel settled and what causes them stress. We are part of the local community rather than separate from it, and we support people to get out to the shops, to clubs and to see family and friends. The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
