About Cinnamon House
Here at Cinnamon House, we are proud to offer a warm and genuinely homely environment for the people who live with us in the heart of Middlesbrough. We provide residential care for adults, with a particular focus on supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, as well as offering respite care for those who need a short break or a place to stay while their usual support arrangements are reviewed. We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that lightly. Our approach is rooted in getting to know each person as an individual, understanding what matters to them, how they like to spend their time, and what makes them feel comfortable and at ease. We work closely with residents, their families, and any other professionals involved in their care to make sure support is genuinely tailored rather than simply ticking boxes. For people with learning disabilities and autism, we know that consistency, familiarity, and clear communication make an enormous difference to daily life. We take time to learn each person's preferences, routines, and ways of communicating, so that they feel secure and understood from the moment they arrive. Our respite care offer is equally important to us. Whether someone needs a short stay to give family members a rest or to try out residential living before committing to a longer arrangement, we aim to make the experience as smooth and reassuring as possible. We were rated Good by the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection, which reflects the commitment of everyone here to maintaining high standards day to day. If you would like to find out more or arrange a visit, please do get in touch. We would love to show you around.
