About Beeches
Beeches is a residential care home in Retford providing a home for older people, younger adults, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, and people with loss of sight or hearing. We should be open about our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, which is requires improvement. We would rather raise it ourselves. We know which areas were identified, we have a plan of work under way covering staff training and supervision, our record keeping, and how people and their families are involved in decisions, and we are glad to talk through where we have got to with anyone considering us. The work of the house continues properly meanwhile. This is the home of the people who live in it. They arrange their own rooms, take part in the shopping and cooking as much as they want to, and are supported to get out to work, college, clubs and family. Communication gets particular attention, and where somebody has sensory loss we adapt how we approach and announce ourselves. Short respite stays are available. Please come and see the house and ask us anything.
