About Acer Court Care Home
We are a residential care home in Nuthall, offering a home to older people who need some support with daily life. The aim is straightforward: a comfortable, settled house where people are known properly and where the day belongs to them rather than to a timetable. We help with personal care, mobility, meals and medication, and we care for people living with dementia. Our experience is that what helps most with dementia is not a particular programme but familiar faces, unhurried time and staff who know a person well enough to notice early when something is not right. We also support people with a physical disability, working with therapists and community health teams so that equipment and comfort are properly thought through. Respite stays are available. A planned break can be the thing that allows a family carer to keep going, and a short stay is also a gentle way of finding out whether a care home is the right step. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would much rather a resident or relative raised a concern while it is still small, so we ask often and we do something about what we hear. You would be very welcome to visit. Have a look round, meet the people who live and work here, and see whether it feels right.
