About Wilkinson Park
Wilkinson Park is a residential care home near Morpeth. We support adults with a learning disability or autism, people living with dementia or a mental health condition, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We also take respite bookings. Because people arrive here by very different routes, we do not run the house to one pattern. Some need a good deal of practical support through the day. Others mainly want a settled base, a routine that holds and somebody reliable to check in with. We work out which by asking, and we go on asking, because what somebody needs at the start is rarely what they need a year on. Communication gets close attention. Several of the people we support get their point across in ways other than speech, and understanding somebody properly is the difference between them directing their own life and having it arranged around them. Where sight or hearing is restricted, the adjustments that make that possible are simply part of the job. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are looking for a place or a respite stay in Northumberland, please get in touch and come and visit.
