About Hurstfield
We are Hurstfield, a residential care home in Keighley. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with mental health conditions, and we also offer respite stays. Much of what we do is about structure without rigidity. For a lot of the people who live here, a predictable day, a decent meal, a proper night's sleep, medication that is right and taken, and somebody who notices how you are doing make the difference between coping and struggling. So we pay attention to routine, and to the quieter signs that somebody is finding things harder than usual. Equally, this is a home and not a treatment programme. People come and go, see their families, keep up their own interests and make their own choices about how they spend the day. Where somebody wants to work towards living more independently, we support that too, and we would rather help them try than keep them safe and stuck. Respite stays give carers at home a genuine break, and they let somebody try the place without committing to anything. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are open to visitors and open to questions, including awkward ones. Please contact us if you would like to see Hurstfield for yourself.
