About Muston Road
Muston Road is a residential care home in Filey, North Yorkshire, supporting adults with a learning disability or autism and people living with a physical disability. We also offer respite stays for those who need support for a shorter time or whose usual carer needs a break. We are a small home and we like it that way. People here know each other, they know the staff, and daily life feels like a household rather than a service. Residents have their own rooms and a genuine say in how their days go, what they eat and what they want to do with their time. Our job is to support people to be as independent as they want to be. For some that means building skills around cooking, money or getting out and about on their own. For others it means steady, familiar help with everyday things so that life stays comfortable and they can carry on doing what they enjoy. We plan support with each person, using whatever way of communicating suits them, and we pay close attention to what helps them feel settled. Being in Filey helps. The seafront, the shops and local events are all part of ordinary life here, and we support people to take part in the community rather than watch it from indoors. The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
