Nene House is a residential care home in Kettering. The people who live here are adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and younger adults who want a settled base and staff who take the time to know them. We also offer respite stays, whether that is a planned break for a family carer or a short spell somewhere steady when things at home have become difficult. The purpose of the work is independence, and that means accepting some risk rather than designing it out. If somebody wants to cook for themselves, travel a route alone or manage their own money, we support them to learn it and we weigh the risks with them and with their family or advocate.
