About The Willows
The Willows is a residential care home in Barton upon Humber, North Lincolnshire. We support older people who need help through the day, including those living with dementia, and adults with a learning disability. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. We will put our rating near the top rather than let you find it and wonder why we said nothing. The Care Quality Commission last rated us requires improvement overall. We accept the finding instead of arguing with it. An inspection records what was there on the day, and the work of putting it right belongs to us. There is an action plan, the people who commission care from us know where we have reached with it, and any family considering us is welcome to go through the detail with the manager rather than being handed a reassuring sentence. The daily work of the home carries on. Washing and dressing, medicines on time, meals that are hot and worth eating, and help to move about safely. For residents with dementia we keep routines steady and the surroundings familiar. Where somebody has a learning disability we write support plans in language the person can read and we do not organise the house as though everybody here were the same. Come and look, ask the uncomfortable questions, and speak to families who are already here.
