About Melton House
Here at Melton House, we provide residential care for older adults in the heart of Wymondham, Norfolk. We are proud to have received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the commitment everyone here brings to the people we support each day. Our home welcomes a wide range of residents, including those living with dementia, those with physical disabilities, and younger adults who need residential care. We also offer respite stays for people who need short term support, whether that is to give a family carer a break or to help someone recover and regain their confidence before returning home. We believe that moving into a care home is a significant moment for any individual and their family, so we take time to get to know each person properly before they arrive and throughout their stay with us. Understanding someone's history, preferences and routines matters enormously to us, and we work hard to make sure daily life here feels familiar and comfortable rather than institutional. The atmosphere at Melton House is friendly and unhurried. Staff and residents know one another well, and we think that familiarity and consistency make a real difference to how settled and secure people feel. Families are always welcome, and we encourage them to stay involved in the life of their loved one as much as they wish to be. Wymondham is a lovely market town with a strong sense of community, and we enjoy being part of it. Whether someone is with us for a short respite break or has made Melton House their long term home, we want them to feel genuinely cared for, respected and at ease. If you would like to find out more or arrange a visit, we would be very happy to hear from you.
