Here at Ashwood House in Norwich, we provide residential care for a range of people who need support to live well day to day. Our team works with older adults, younger adults, and people living with a learning disability or autism, and we take real pride in getting to know each person as an individual rather than simply meeting a list of needs. We are based in Norwich, Norfolk, and our home has a warm and settled atmosphere that we work hard to maintain. People who live here are at the centre of everything we do. We involve residents in decisions about their daily lives, from what they eat and when they get up, to how they spend their time and who they spend it with. That sense of choice and independence matters enormously to us. Our team is made up of people who genuinely care about the work they do. We invest in training and make sure staff have the knowledge and confidence to support each resident well, whether that means understanding the communication needs of someone with autism or recognising the signs that an older person may need additional health support. We work closely with GPs, community nurses, and other professionals to make sure everyone receives joined up care. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good. That reflects the hard work of our whole team and the trust that residents and their families place in us, and we are committed to maintaining and building on that standard.
