About Waverley
We are a residential care home in Mablethorpe, supporting older people and adults with a learning disability or autism. We also offer respite stays, whether booked in advance so that a family carer can have a break or arranged at shorter notice when circumstances change. Supporting people with quite different needs under one roof works only if you start from the individual. Some of the people who live here need support that is mainly practical, help with personal care, medication, meals and getting about. Others need something else. A day that runs to a predictable shape, warning before anything changes, and staff who understand that a particular routine is what holds the day together rather than a preference to be worked around. Where somebody can do something for themselves, we would much rather they did, even when it takes longer. We want to be open about our regulatory position rather than leave you to discover it. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. There is work under way in response to the findings, and if you are considering a place or a respite stay here you are entitled to ask what that work is and how far it has got. We will give you a straight answer. Please come and see us if you can. Contact us and we will arrange a time that suits you and your family.
