About King Street - Care Home Physical Disabilities

We are a residential care home on King Street in Sileby, supporting adults with physical disabilities, adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, including younger adults and older people. Where somebody has a physical disability, the practical detail of support matters enormously: how a person prefers to be helped to move, what equipment they use, how long things take and what makes them feel safe rather than handled. We take that detail seriously, and we aim to do only as much of a task as is actually needed, because what a person can manage for themselves is worth protecting. Beyond that, the house is run as a household. Everyone has their own room and their own things, and the week is worked out between the people who live here and the staff supporting them. Support is built around what each person wants to be able to do, whether that is work, college, getting out regularly, keeping up with family or managing money with a hand from staff. Consistency counts for a great deal, particularly for autistic people, so we keep staffing as settled as we can. Respite stays are available alongside longer places. If you are looking for a place for yourself or someone in your family, please come and visit. We will be honest about whether we can support the needs you describe.
