About Brockshill Woodlands
Brockshill Woodlands is a residential care home in Oadby, caring for older people who can no longer manage comfortably at home. We aim for the atmosphere of a household rather than an institution, with people keeping their own routines, their own belongings and a genuine say in how their day goes. We support people living with dementia, where a steady and familiar routine is worth more than anything else we could provide, and people living with a physical disability, where good care is largely about practical independence and dignity rather than doing everything for somebody. We also care for younger adults, planning their day around their own interests rather than around everybody else's. Respite stays are available too, for people who need care for a short while after illness and for family carers who need a proper break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We take that as the standard to hold rather than something to point at. The more telling measure is the everyday evidence, whether people are up and occupied, whether mealtimes are sociable and whether families feel able to raise a concern early rather than saving it up. Please come and see us.
