About Enderby Grange

We are Enderby Grange, a residential care home in Narborough, Leicestershire. We provide a home for older people, including those living with dementia, people with a mental health condition and people with a physical disability, and we also offer respite stays. Our work is residential care, which means supporting people with the parts of daily life that have become difficult while leaving the rest where it belongs. For health needs beyond our registration we work alongside district nurses and GPs and we are straightforward with families about where that line falls. Dementia takes up much of our day, and what helps most is knowing the person. Their history, their working life, the routines they have kept for decades. Someone distressed almost always has a reason for it, and the reason is more often practical than people expect. Where a mental health condition is part of the picture too, the same principles apply: consistency, staff who do not take a bad day personally, and a routine that is there to lean on rather than to enforce. Respite guests are assessed and welcomed exactly as permanent residents are. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
