About The Lawns Residential Home
The Lawns is a residential home in Leicester, offering a settled place to live for older people who no longer manage easily on their own. We are a home first and a care setting second, and we try to keep the rhythm of the day feeling ordinary rather than institutional. Most of the people who live with us are older adults who need help with personal care, mobility and the practicalities of daily life. We also support people with physical disabilities, and we keep space for respite stays, whether that is planned time while a family carer takes a break or a short period of recovery after a spell in hospital. Life here is led by the people who live here. Some prefer company in the lounge and join in with whatever is going on, others would rather read quietly in their own room, and both choices are respected. Meals are cooked on site and we pay attention to what people actually enjoy eating. Families and friends are welcome, and we would far rather they treated the place as an extension of their own home than as somewhere they visit formally. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to see the home for yourself, you are welcome to visit and meet the people who live and work here.
