About The Grange Residential Home

The Grange is a residential care home in Leicester, supporting older people including those living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. We also welcome younger adults whose needs are best met in a residential setting, and we offer respite stays. Our work is mostly the ordinary business of a day done attentively. Helping somebody wash and dress in the way they prefer, serving meals that are worth looking forward to, keeping company, getting people outside, and noticing quickly when something is not right. For people living with dementia, we keep routines steady and faces familiar, and we follow the person's pace rather than imposing our own. Respite stays give a family carer a planned break, or give somebody a period of support when they need it without committing to a permanent move. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather set that out plainly than leave a family to find it later. We know what was identified, work is under way on it, and we are willing to talk through the detail with anybody considering the home. Visitors are welcome. Come and see how the home runs on a normal day, speak to residents and relatives, and make your own judgement. Please contact us to arrange a time.
