About Syston Lodge Residential Home
Syston Lodge is a residential home in Leicester. We are home to older people, including people with physical disabilities, and we offer respite stays. We concentrate on ordinary comfort and on the parts of the day nobody inspects. Whether the food is worth finishing. How long a bell takes to answer at two in the morning. Whether the person helping you knows anything about you beyond your care plan. Whether anybody notices you have gone quiet for a couple of days. For residents with physical disabilities we plan around what somebody can still do themselves rather than what is fastest for us, because independence given away for convenience is rarely handed back. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather write that here than have a family come across it and wonder what else we chose not to mention. We accept the findings and we are working through them, and we will not pretend in a paragraph that it is finished. Please visit without warning, speak to residents and relatives out of our hearing, and ask us for specifics about what has changed.
