About Kingsfield Court Care Home
Kingsfield Court Care Home is in Leicester. We provide residential care for older people, including those living with dementia and those with physical disabilities, along with respite and short stays. We aim to run a household rather than a facility. Residents bring their own furniture and photographs, keep the routines they have always had and decide for themselves how much they want to be part of what is going on. Nobody is marched off to an activity they have not chosen. When somebody moves in we spend real time on their history and preferences, from what time they wake and how they take their tea to the work they did and the people who matter to them. It is written down so that everybody working here knows it, because care that changes with whoever is on shift is not care we would accept for our own families. Leicester is home to many communities and many languages, and food, faith and the language somebody is most comfortable in matter more, not less, as dementia advances. We try to staff and cook accordingly. Dementia support rests on familiarity and pace. For residents with physical disabilities we look at equipment and at how the building is arranged so that independence is protected where it can be. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and look round whenever suits you.
