About Jubilee Villa

Jubilee Villa is a residential care home in Leicester supporting adults with a learning disability or autism, including younger adults and people with a physical disability. We think of this as somebody's home first and a registered care setting second, and most of what we do follows from that. The people who live here have their own routines, interests and ambitions, and our role is to make those possible rather than to manage them. That might mean support with cooking, budgeting or travel, help to keep in touch with family, or the practical assistance somebody needs with personal care and mobility. We work at each person's pace, and we take the view that independence grows when people are given real choices and enough time to make them. Autism in particular asks us to pay attention to environment and predictability. We try to keep the day clear and consistent, explain changes before they happen, and communicate in whatever way suits the person best. Where somebody finds a situation difficult, we look at what caused it rather than at the behaviour alone. We also provide respite stays, which can give a family carer a planned break and let a person get to know us gradually. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We share what we learn with families and with the people living here, and we welcome being asked questions. Please contact us if you would like to visit.
