About Court
We are Kibworth Court, a residential care home in Kibworth caring for older people, including many who are living with dementia. We aim to feel like a house rather than an institution. People bring their own furniture and pictures, come down when they wake rather than when a schedule says so, and spend the day as they please. Some like company from morning to night, some prefer their own room with the television on, and neither choice needs explaining to anybody. Dementia care takes time and it takes knowing the person. We learn about the work somebody did, the family they raised, the music they grew up with and the routines that steady them, and we use all of it. We do not argue about what year it is or where somebody thinks they are going. We meet people where they are and find something good to do together there. The staff here know residents properly, which is how you notice that a person is quieter than usual or eating less before it becomes something serious. We keep families informed and would far rather make an early call about a small concern. Visitors are welcome whenever they want to come. We also offer respite stays for people living at home whose carers need a break. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.
