About Brightcare
Here at Brightcare, we are proud to be a care home rooted in the heart of Romney Marsh, Kent. Our setting offers a genuine home from home for the people who live and stay with us, and everything we do centres on treating each individual with real dignity, respect and warmth. We specialise in Residential Care, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism, and providing Respite Care for those who need a short break or a chance to recharge. We understand that choosing a care home, whether for yourself or someone you love, is one of the most significant decisions a family can make. We do not take that trust lightly. Our team takes time to get to know each person properly, learning about their preferences, routines and the things that matter most to them, so that the support we offer genuinely fits around their life rather than the other way around. Romney Marsh is a wonderfully distinctive part of Kent, and we feel fortunate to be part of this community. The landscape here is peaceful and unhurried, which we think reflects the atmosphere we try to create within our home. People here are not just looked after; they are encouraged to be themselves, to make choices, to maintain friendships and to enjoy everyday moments. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which reflects the consistency and thoughtfulness that our team brings to their work every single day. If you would like to find out more about life at Brightcare, or if you have any questions about whether we might be the right fit for you or your family member, we warmly welcome you to get in touch. We are always happy to have a conversation.

Yes. Yes. Brightcare offers respite and short stays, which is a good way to see whether the home is the right fit.
Will they support end of life care, so there is no move at the hardest time?
Ask the home. End of life care is not listed on the register. Ask the manager whether residents can remain in the home with hospice or district nurse support.

Ask the home. The home has not told us its pet policy yet. Ask directly; some homes allow small pets in residents' rooms or welcome visiting dogs.

Ask the home. We do not know whether the home has rooms for couples. Ask about shared or adjoining rooms if this matters.
Will the council help pay, or is it self funded only?
Ask the home. The home has not told us which funding it accepts. Most homes take both council funded and self funded residents; ask about council rates and any top up.
Do they take younger adults as well as older people?
Ask the home. The register does not say which age groups the home supports. Ask the home.
Can I visit before deciding, and are there visiting hours?
