About Gravesham Place Integrated Care Centre
Gravesham Place is a residential care home in Gravesend supporting older people, including those living with dementia. Younger adults whose needs are best met in a residential setting are welcome too, and we offer both permanent places and shorter respite stays. Some of the people who come to us stay for a long time. Others need support for a few weeks, perhaps while regaining confidence and strength after illness or a stay in hospital, before going home again. Both deserve the same attention, and we plan around the person rather than around the length of stay. The daily work here is straightforward. Helping somebody get up and dressed the way they prefer. Meals worth sitting down to. Company when it is wanted and quiet when it is not. Noticing quickly when a person is not themselves and doing something about it. For people living with dementia, familiarity carries most of the weight. Consistent faces, a predictable shape to the day, and staff who neither hurry nor correct. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and visit on an ordinary day.
