About The Bridge Care Home
The Bridge Care Home is a residential home in Dartford, Kent. We care for older people and younger adults, including many residents living with dementia, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We are a residential setting, so our focus is everyday life well supported, with community health professionals involved when someone needs them. Much of what makes a home feel right rather than institutional comes down to pace and attention. Being helped to get up at the hour you would choose. Being asked rather than told. Having someone notice that you are quieter than usual and sit with you to find out why. Those things do not appear on a rota, but they are what residents and families actually remember. For people living with dementia we keep staffing consistent and the daily rhythm steady, and we make the effort to learn a person's history so conversation has somewhere to go. Where a resident has a sight or hearing impairment we adapt properly, and we make sure nobody is left out of a conversation because it was easier to talk around them. Respite stays are available for families needing a planned break or for people recovering after illness, and we plan a short stay with the same care as a permanent one. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
