About Westview House

Westview House is a care home in Totland Bay on the Isle of Wight, providing residential care for older people and for adults with a range of other needs. Our residents include people living with dementia, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and those with sight or hearing loss, and we support younger adults. Respite stays are available. Island life shapes how we work. Families are sometimes further away than they would like, so we take particular care to keep relatives properly informed rather than leaving them to wonder, and visitors are welcome whenever they can get here. With such a range of needs in one house, we build the day around individuals instead of imposing one routine. For residents living with dementia that means familiarity above all: a recognisable order to the day, staff who stay, and enough knowledge of a person's earlier life to make sense of the present. For residents with sensory loss it means good lighting, clear speech and the patience to check that a message has actually landed. The setting is a genuine asset. Sea air, walks, somewhere to sit out in decent weather, and we make sure people use it rather than look at it. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. Please come and see us and ask whatever you need to.
