About Froome Bank
Froome Bank is a residential care home in Bromyard, Herefordshire. We are home to older people, including many living with dementia, and we support younger adults too. We also offer respite stays. We keep our priorities plain. Good food, warm rooms, laundry that comes back, help when it is wanted and privacy when it is not. Residents get up and go to bed when it suits them rather than when a rota finds it convenient, and an afternoon with nothing arranged in it is a perfectly good afternoon. Being in a small market town has real advantages. Residents who have lived here for decades know the place far better than we do, and there is a good deal to be said for a conversation about the town with somebody who has watched it change over a lifetime. For residents living with dementia we protect routine and keep surroundings familiar, and we ask families for the history that lets us understand what somebody means rather than only what they said. The Care Quality Commission rates us good overall. Families are welcome to arrive unannounced and see us on an ordinary day, because that is the visit that tells you something.
