About Yad Voezer 1

Yad Voezer 1 is a residential care home in Hackney. We support older people and younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with mental health needs and people with physical disabilities, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. This is first and foremost somewhere people live. Residents keep their own routines, have a genuine say in the running of the household and are supported to maintain the relationships, interests and community connections that matter to them. We think that ordinary business of having preferences and making choices should not quietly disappear because somebody lives in a supported setting. Support is planned person by person. For one resident that means a calm and highly predictable week with plenty of warning before anything changes. For another it means being out and about locally, seeing family and keeping up commitments. With autistic residents in particular we pay close attention to environment, routine and the sensory side of daily life, because those details decide how a day goes. We give practical help with personal care, medication, meals and mobility, and we aim to give only as much as is wanted, so that people keep hold of what they can do for themselves. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering Yad Voezer 1 for yourself or for someone you support, please get in touch and come and look round.
