About The Grove
The Grove is a residential care home in Chester Le Street. We provide a home for adults with a range of needs, including older people, younger adults, people with a learning disability, autistic adults, people with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss. Our approach is to work out what each person can do, what they want to do, and where they genuinely need a hand, and then to support exactly that. For some people this means full help with personal care and moving safely. For others it is prompting, encouragement and somebody steady in the background while they get on with their own day. We take communication seriously and make sure that choices offered are real ones. Life here is not confined to the building. People are supported to keep up their interests, see family and friends, attend appointments and get out into the town and the wider area. Staff are trained for the needs they support and we work with the health and social care professionals involved so that everybody is consistent. Respite stays can be arranged for people who need care for a short period or whose family carer needs a break. If you are looking for a placement or a short stay, please contact us and come and see the house for yourself.
