About The New Inn
Here at The New Inn, we are proud to offer a warm and welcoming home for the people in our care, situated in the heart of Uckfield in East Sussex. We provide residential care for adults, alongside specialist support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, as well as short term respite care for those who need a temporary place to stay and be well looked after. We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most important decisions a person or their family will ever make. That is why we focus on getting to know each individual properly, understanding their routines, their preferences and the things that matter most to them. Our approach is built around the person, not a rigid set of rules, and we work hard to make sure that everyone living here feels genuinely at home. For those we support with learning disabilities and autism, we know how important consistency and familiarity are. Our team takes time to build trust and communicate in ways that work for each person, making sure daily life feels as comfortable and predictable as they need it to be, while still encouraging independence and new experiences wherever possible. Our respite care gives families and carers the reassurance that their loved one is in a safe, supportive environment while they take a well earned break. We treat every respite stay with the same level of attention and care as we do for our long term residents. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us as good, which reflects the commitment of our whole team to maintaining a high standard of care each and every day. If you would like to find out more or come and have a look around, we would love to hear from you.
