Inspectors found that people were safe at the home and protected from the risk of abuse.
Effective
Inspectors found that people were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives. Staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests. The home's policies and systems supported this.
Caring
Inspectors found that people received kind and compassionate care. Staff promoted people's independence. People were treated with respect and dignity and were supported to make decisions about their care.
Responsive
CQC rated this area Outstanding. Inspectors found that staff delivered person centred care that had achieved consistently outstanding outcomes for people. There was an extensive and varied range of social activities and opportunities. Staff took positive risks and thought creatively to help people do what they wanted to and to overcome barriers to new opportunities.
Well-led
Inspectors found that the registered manager and provider were well regarded and had a clear vision for the service. Staff understood this vision and it was part of their practice. There were effective quality assurance systems that were used to drive improvements. People, relatives and staff were asked for feedback and meetings were held regularly.
What people told the inspectors
One relative said the person had never been happier anywhere than at the home. Another relative said they felt the person was as safe there as they would be at home.
