About Dalling House
Here at Dalling House, we provide residential care for older people in the heart of Crowborough, East Sussex. Our home is a place where residents can feel genuinely settled, supported and valued as individuals, not simply as people who need care. We offer older person care, residential care and respite care, so whether someone is moving in permanently or needs a shorter stay to recover or give family members a break, we aim to make that experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible. Respite stays in particular can feel daunting for families who are uncertain about what to expect, and we work hard to ensure those shorter visits feel just as personal and attentive as longer term living. We want to be honest about where we are as a home. Our most recent CQC inspection resulted in a "requires improvement" rating, and we take that seriously. We have been working through the areas identified and making real, practical changes to how we operate. We believe families deserve transparency, and we would rather have an open conversation about our improvement journey than paper over it. Progress is being made and we welcome anyone to come and see the home for themselves. Crowborough is a lovely part of East Sussex and our location means residents can maintain connections to their local community, which matters enormously to peoples sense of identity and belonging as they get older. If you are considering care for yourself or a loved one, we would encourage you to get in touch and arrange a visit. Seeing a care home in person, speaking with the team and meeting current residents and their families, gives a far better picture than any description can. We would be glad to show you around and answer any questions you have.
