About Trafalgar House
Here at Trafalgar House, we offer residential care in the heart of Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex, and we take real pride in the community we have built here. We support a range of individuals, including adults with learning disabilities and autism, younger adults, and those who need short term respite care. Every person who comes through our doors has their own story, their own routines, and their own way of seeing the world, and we work hard to make sure that is respected and celebrated rather than simply managed. Respite care is something we feel strongly about. Whether someone is staying with us for a week or a little longer, we want them to feel genuinely at home, not as though they are just passing through. Families tell us how much it means to know their loved one is somewhere familiar faces and kind attention are the norm, and that matters enormously to us. For those who live with us on a longer term basis, we focus on supporting people to maintain independence wherever possible, build friendships, and take part in the things they enjoy. Life here is not about simply getting through the day. It is about having a good one. We were pleased to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection. That reflects the everyday work of our whole team, and we never take it for granted. We are always looking at how we can improve, listen better, and respond to the changing needs of the people we support. If you are considering Trafalgar House for yourself or someone you care about, we would warmly encourage you to come and see us in person. Nothing tells the story of a care home quite like a visit.
