About Sandhurst Rest Home
Sandhurst Rest Home is a residential home in Bexhill on Sea providing care for older people who need support with daily life but still want a say in how their days are spent. We are a home rather than an institution, and we work at keeping the atmosphere calm and unhurried. People choose when to get up and go to bed, where to spend their time and how much company they want, and they keep their own belongings around them. Our team helps with the things that have become harder over the years, from washing and dressing to moving about safely, medication and making sure everybody eats well and drinks enough. Beyond that, a great deal of what we do is simply being present, sitting and talking, and noticing early when somebody is not themselves. Meals are cooked here and we take requests seriously. There is company in the lounge for those who want it and peace for those who would rather read or watch the garden, and family and friends are welcome to visit and stay for a cup of tea. Respite and short stays can be arranged. If you would like to look round, please ring us and we will arrange a time that suits you.
