About Lapal House
Lapal House is a residential care home in Halesowen providing care for older people, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. We run the home at the pace of the people in it. Breakfast happens when somebody wakes rather than when a trolley comes round, and the day takes the shape a person wants. The care covers help with washing and dressing, medication, meals cooked here, support with mobility, and somebody always around when a person needs them. For those living with dementia we keep the routine steady and the faces familiar, and we arrange the house so that it is easy to understand and to move about in. Our staff tend to stay with us for a long time, and that continuity does more to settle somebody than any particular method could. Families are welcome whenever they wish to come, and we would much rather hear a concern early than have it sit unspoken until it has grown. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us if you would like to look round.
