About Butterfly House
We are a residential care home in Halesowen supporting adults with a learning disability or autism and adults living with a mental health condition. It is a small home and we run it as one, with the people who live here having a genuine say over the day rather than fitting into a timetable somebody else drew up. Support is agreed with each person and with those who know them well. We pay particular attention to communication and to what helps when somebody is anxious or unsettled, and we make sure the whole team works to the same understanding, because inconsistency causes more distress here than almost anything else. We support people to keep hold of a life outside the house. Family, friends, college, work, activities, and the ordinary business of shopping and getting about. Where somebody wants to do more for themselves we help them build up to it at their own pace. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated the home Good. If you are looking for a place, or supporting somebody who is, please get in touch and come and see us.
