Here at Ladybird House, we provide residential care for younger adults, including those living with a learning disability or autism. We are based in Halesowen, Dudley, and we are proud to be part of the local community, offering a place where the people we support can feel genuinely at home. We understand that moving into a care home, or exploring respite care, can feel like a significant step for individuals and their families. That is why we take time to get to know each person properly before they arrive, and we continue building on that understanding every day. The people we support are not defined by their diagnosis or their care needs. They have their own personalities, preferences, routines and ambitions, and our role is to support them in living life on their own terms as much as possible. Respite care is something we offer with the same level of attention as our longer term residential support. Whether someone stays with us for a short break or on a more permanent basis, we want every person to feel settled, respected and genuinely welcome from the moment they arrive. We work closely with families and with other professionals involved in a person's life to make sure care is joined up and consistent. We believe open communication matters, and we always encourage families to stay closely involved if that is what the person we support would like. Our team in Halesowen are experienced in supporting people with a range of needs related to learning disability and autism, and we are always looking at how we can do things better. We are currently unrated by the Care Quality Commission, and we welcome the opportunity that independent inspection brings to demonstrate the quality of what we do here at Ladybird House.
