About Rosehill
Rosehill Bideford is a residential care home in Bideford, Devon, providing a home for older people who need support with everyday living. Life here is deliberately uncomplicated. Residents get up when they wake, eat when they are hungry, sit where they like and spend their time as they choose. Our staff manage the things that have become difficult, from personal care and medication to laundry and meals, so that people can put their energy into the parts of the day they actually enjoy. A number of the people living with us have dementia. What helps most, we have found, is keeping things familiar, giving people time to answer, and knowing enough about someone's life to be genuine company. Families tell us that this matters more than anything we could list in a brochure, and we think they are right. Respite stays are part of what we do. Sometimes a family carer needs a planned break, and sometimes a person needs looking after for a few weeks after being unwell before returning home. Either way people are welcomed into the household rather than treated as temporary. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are pleased with it, and we keep asking residents and relatives what could be better. If you would like to see Rosehill for yourself, please ring and arrange a visit. You are welcome to come more than once before deciding anything.
