About Darley Hall Care Home
Darley Hall Care Home is a residential home for older people near Matlock in Derbyshire, offering permanent places and respite stays. What we offer is fairly simple, and we would rather describe it plainly than dress it up. A comfortable home in a lovely part of the country, staff who are around and who know people well, help with the things that have become difficult, and a day that belongs to the person living it. People here choose when to get up, what to eat, whether to join in with what is going on and whether they would rather be left in peace. Staff help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and moving about, and they do it in a way that keeps somebody's dignity intact. Rooms are personal, families are welcome without appointment, and we would always rather raise a concern with relatives early than leave a worry sitting. Respite stays are genuinely welcome. Caring for a relative at home is hard work and a planned break is often what makes carrying on possible. Short stay guests get exactly the same attention as people living here permanently, and for some families a stay is a sensible way of seeing how things go before a longer decision is made. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Do come and see the home, meet the team and ask us whatever you want to know.
