About Graceland
Graceland is a residential care home in Thornton Heath supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. Most of the people living here are younger adults. We should be open about our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, which is requires improvement. We would rather raise it ourselves. We know which areas were identified, we have a plan of work under way covering staff training and supervision, our record keeping, and how people and their families are involved in decisions, and we are glad to talk through where we have got to with anyone considering us. The work of the house continues properly meanwhile. This is the home of the people who live in it. They arrange their own rooms, take part in the shopping and cooking as much as they want to, and are supported to get out to work, college, clubs and family. Communication gets particular attention, using speech, signing, symbols or simply the understanding that comes from knowing somebody well. Short respite stays are available. Please come and see the house and ask us anything.
