About Brigstock House
Here at Brigstock House, we provide residential care for adults in the heart of Thornton Heath, Croydon. We support people with learning disabilities and autism, and we also offer respite care for those who need a short break from their usual living arrangements, as well as giving family members and carers a chance to rest. We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person or family can make, and we do not take that lightly. Our aim is straightforward: to make sure everyone who lives here feels genuinely at home, respected, and heard. We take time to understand each person as an individual, their routines, preferences, and the things that matter most to them, and we build support around that rather than expecting people to fit around us. For those with learning disabilities or autism, we understand how important consistency and familiarity are. We work closely with residents and their families to create environments and routines that feel safe and predictable, while still encouraging people to grow, try new things, and enjoy life in the way that suits them. Our respite care is something we feel strongly about. Whether someone is staying with us for the first time or returning for another visit, we want the experience to feel comfortable and positive from the very beginning. A respite stay should never feel like a last resort; it should feel like a genuine option that people look forward to. We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a rating of good, and we continue to reflect on how we can improve and grow as a home. If you would like to find out more about life at Brigstock House, we would love to hear from you.
