About Parc Vro Residential Home
Parc Vro is a residential home in Helston, Cornwall, for older people who need care, company and a settled place to live. We are a house rather than an institution, and we would like the people here to feel that it is theirs. Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and company, calling in community health professionals whenever something more clinical is needed. We support residents living with dementia, and the things we rely on are unglamorous and effective: familiar staff, a routine that stays the same, food people recognise and reassurance repeated as often as it is wanted. We care for residents living with mental health conditions, where a calm environment and early attention to changes matter greatly, and residents with physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we communicate and how we help people move about. Respite stays are available too, giving family carers a genuine rest and letting a prospective resident spend time here before any permanent decision is made. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering Parc Vro for a relative, please come during an ordinary day and make up your own mind.
