About Penley View
Penley View is a residential care home in High Wycombe. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing is impaired. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. We should be plain at the outset. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We know what the inspectors found, we have an improvement plan and we are working through it with our staff team, with the people who live here and with their families, reporting progress to the inspectors and the local authority. If you are considering a place, please ask us exactly what has changed and how we are making sure it lasts. What we are working to protect meanwhile is a home where people are known properly. Rooms that belong to the person in them. A day that is not run by a timetable. Visitors welcome without fuss. Staff who notice when somebody is not themselves. Supporting people of quite different ages and needs together only works with genuinely individual planning, and that is where a good deal of our attention goes, including learning how each person communicates. Please come and look round, talk to our staff and put the difficult questions to us.
