About Pennefather Court
Pennefather Court is a residential care home in Aylesbury, and our work is with adults who have physical disabilities. We also offer respite stays. Where physical disability is the reason somebody is here, the practical detail is the whole job. Equipment, wheelchairs, seating, positioning, hoists, transfers and access are what decide whether a person can get where they want to go and do things for themselves, so we get them right and we review them as circumstances change rather than setting them up once and leaving them. Where somebody wants to do a task themselves, more slowly, we let them, and we are there for the parts they cannot manage. Supporting adults with physical disabilities is a different job from running a home for older people, and we try to reflect that. The people who live here have lives to get on with, so they choose how their rooms look, decide how their day is spent, come and go, and have visitors when they like. Where somebody wants to work, study, volunteer or get out into the town, we help make that practical. Every plan is written with the individual and reviewed properly. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange to visit.
