About Alexandra House
Here at Alexandra House, we are proud to be a care home in the heart of Bristol, supporting adults who need a little more help to live well and feel genuinely at home. We work with a wide range of people, including younger adults living with a learning disability or autism, those experiencing mental health challenges, and individuals who need short term respite care. Our team takes the time to get to know each person properly, understanding what matters to them in daily life, what brings them comfort, and what they want to work towards. We believe that good care is built on real relationships, not just routines. Our approach to residential care centres on treating every person as an individual. We take the time to understand people's histories, preferences and goals, and we work alongside families and professionals to make sure support is joined up and consistent. For those coming to us for respite, we aim to make that short stay feel as settled and reassuring as possible, whether it is a first visit or a return stay. We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission rating reflects the standard of care we work hard to maintain every day. A rating of good means a great deal to us, but we never stop looking at how we can do things better. Bristol is our home too, and being part of this community matters to us. We encourage people to stay connected to local life in ways that suit them, whether that is getting out and about or welcoming familiar faces through our doors. If you are looking for care for yourself or someone you love, we would genuinely welcome the chance to have a conversation and show you what life at Alexandra House looks like.
