About 63 Coronation Road

We are a small residential home on Coronation Road in Bristol, supporting adults living with mental health conditions. We also offer respite stays where somebody needs somewhere steady for a period rather than a permanent move. A house like ours works when it is calm and predictable. People who have had a difficult time need somewhere the days hold their shape, where staff do not panic in a bad week and where nobody is written off because of a setback. Alongside that steadiness, we try hard not to do things for people that they can do themselves. Cooking, laundry, managing money, keeping appointments, getting out and seeing people. Those are the things that add up to a life, and losing them to well meaning staff is not a good outcome. We take time to understand what somebody's life has been like, what helps when things get hard, what makes them worse and what the person themselves wants to be different. We plan with them, alongside the professionals already involved, and we expect the plan to change, because recovery is rarely a straight line and we do not pretend otherwise. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are a family member, or a professional looking at a placement, please get in touch and we will talk honestly about whether this would be the right setting for a particular person.
