About Queens Court
Queens Court is a nursing home in Windsor. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily living, including people living with dementia, people living with a mental health condition and people with a physical disability. We also take respite bookings. Having nurses on the premises changes what can be managed here. Wound care, catheters, complicated medication and health that shifts from one day to the next are dealt with in the home rather than through repeated journeys to hospital, which matters most at the stage when somebody is worn out by being moved around. The clinical side is only part of the job. People here choose how their day runs, keep their own belongings about them, eat food they actually want and see their families whenever they like. We pay attention to the ordinary details that keep somebody feeling like themselves rather than like a patient. With relatives we try to be straightforward, particularly when health is changing. An honest conversation held early is far kinder than a confusing one held late. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are happy to answer questions about our nursing cover, our training and how we respond when a family raises a concern. If you are looking at nursing or respite care in Windsor, please get in touch and come and see the home.
