About Court Care Home
Westbury Court Care Home is a nursing home in Westbury, Wiltshire. We care for older people who need qualified nursing as well as help with everyday life, and for younger adults whose nursing needs are best met in a home like ours. Nurses are on duty through the night as well as the day, so we can manage health conditions properly and respond quickly when someone becomes unwell. A large part of our work is with residents living with dementia. We keep the day calm and predictable, keep familiar staff working with familiar residents, and try to understand what someone is telling us when words have become difficult. Rushing a person with dementia never saves time, so we plan on the basis that things take as long as they take. Alongside the nursing, we try to keep ordinary life going. Residents decide when to get up, what they eat, whether they want company or quiet, and who visits. The garden, a decent cup of tea and a proper conversation do more for people than any timetable. We offer respite stays for those needing nursing care for a short period, and for family carers who need a break before they reach the end of their strength. Visitors are welcome, and we ask families to tell us early when something is not right. Please ring if you would like to come and look round.
