About Belle Vue Country House
We are a nursing home at Warninglid in West Sussex, caring for people whose needs require qualified nursing alongside support with daily living. We look after older people and younger adults, including those living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people and people living with mental health conditions. Work of this kind cannot run on routine alone. It takes nurses on duty so that medication, pain, continence and difficulties with eating, drinking and moving are managed properly and without waiting, and it takes staff who know each person well enough to see a change before it becomes a crisis. Where somebody is autistic or has a learning disability, the way care is offered often matters more than what is offered, so we pay attention to how a person communicates and what helps them feel safe. Around all of that we try to protect ordinary life: choosing when to get up, what to wear, what to eat and who you want beside you. Respite stays are available as well as longer places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We prefer to say so plainly. We are working through what the inspectors raised and are willing to go through the report with anyone considering us. Please come and visit and ask us whatever you need to.
