About Cottage Nursing Home
Here at Petworth Cottage Nursing Home, we provide nursing care for older people in a calm and homely setting in the heart of Petworth, West Sussex. We know that choosing a nursing home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our team supports residents with a range of nursing needs, and we also offer respite care for those who need a shorter stay, whether to recover after a period in hospital or to give family carers a well earned break. Whatever brings someone to us, we aim to make sure they feel genuinely at home from the moment they arrive. We were pleased to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection. That result reflects the everyday work of our staff, who know our residents as individuals and build real relationships with them over time. Good care, in our view, is not about grand gestures. It is about consistency, attentiveness and treating people with the dignity they deserve. Petworth itself is a wonderful place to be based. The town has a strong sense of community, and that spirit carries through into how we operate. Families are always welcome, and we encourage people to remain connected to the things and the people that matter most to them. If you are considering nursing care for yourself or a loved one, we would be very happy to have a conversation or to arrange a visit. Seeing a place in person is often the best way to get a feel for whether it is the right fit, and we are always glad to show people around and answer any questions they might have.
