About Derwent Lodge
Here at Derwent Lodge, we are a nursing home based in Billingshurst, West Sussex, and we are proud to offer a warm and genuinely caring environment for the people who live with us. We support a range of needs, including older person care, nursing care, dementia care, care for younger adults, and respite care. This means we are well placed to help individuals and families who are navigating some quite significant life changes, and we take that responsibility seriously. Whether someone comes to us for a short respite stay or moves in on a longer term basis, we aim to make sure they feel at home from the very beginning. Our team works hard to understand each person as an individual. We know that moving into a care setting is a big step, and we do not take lightly the trust that residents and their families place in us. Getting to know people properly, their preferences, their routines, their histories, matters enormously to how we provide care day to day. We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection resulted in an overall rating of Good. We see that as an honest reflection of the work our staff put in, though we are always looking at how we can do better and continue to improve the experience for everyone living here. Billingshurst is a lovely community to be part of, and we value the connections we have locally. Families are always welcome, and we encourage people to stay involved in the lives of their loved ones. If you would like to find out more about Derwent Lodge or come and have a look around, we would be very happy to hear from you.
